Abstract: EPA proposed national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for tire manufacturing were published in the Federal Register on October 18, 2000 (65 FR 62414). The purpose of the document is to present a summary of the non-confidential public comments received on the proposed standards and the responses developed by EPA. The summary of comments and responses serves as the basis for revisions made to the standards between proposal and promulgation.
