| Abstract: The EPA is extending the period of public comment 30 days until December 19, 2001 for the proposed national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants for Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) Production. The proposed rule would control emissions of toxic air pollutants during hydrochloric acid production. The hazardous air pollutants that would be reduced by the proposed rule are hydrogen chloride and chlorine. The rule, as proposed, would affect new, reconstructed, and existing HCl production facilities, including those at fume silica facilities. This file is the text of the comment extension. |
