Abstract:
This zipped file has 1 Wordperfect file (88KB) containing the text of a direct final rule issued by EPA (signed May 3, 1996 by the Adminstrator). The rule delays the permit application deadline, under section 112(j) of the Clean Air Act (the Act), for owners or operators of sources in the 4-year source categories for which a Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) standard has not been promulgated. These source categories are Off-Site Waste Treatment, Printing & Publishing, Polymers & Resins I, and Polymers & Resins IV. This amendment to the rule may possibly eliminate the need to submit a permit application for case-by-case MACT determination.
