Abstract:
The EPA is promulgating air toxics standards to reduce HAP emissions from web coating lines where the web (i.e., a roll of paper or other substrate) is unwound, coating(s) are applied, and the coated product is subsequently dried. Paper and other web coating is the process by which a continuous web substrate (e.g., paper, film, foil) is coated on one or both sides. The substrate is coated to provide a decorative or protective finish. Coating is used in the production of end products such as tapes and labels, packaging material, laminated products, photographic film and papers, abrasives, wall paper, and other coated and laminated products. This file is the text of the final rule.
