Abstract:
In November 2002, EPA issued proposed air toxics standards for major sources that coat or print metal cans or metal parts (e.g., ends for composite cans) for any type of can during any stage of the can manufacturing process. The standards would also apply to the coating or printing of metal sheets for subsequent processing into cans or can parts and decorative tins, crowns, and closures. This file is a fact sheet about the proposed rule.
