Abstract:
EPA is making final amendments to the air toxics standards (also called national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants, or NESHAPs) for Group I Polymers and Resins and for Group IV Polymers and Resins. EPA proposed the amendments on March 9, 1999, to: 1) address issues in petitions for review of the Agency's September 1996 Polymers and Resins I and IV air toxics standards; and 2) to update the rules to reflect 1997 amendments to the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturing Industry air toxics rule (known as the HON, or Hazardous Organic NESHAP), which heavily referenced in the both standards for Polymers and Resins I and IV. This file is the text of the final amendments to Subpart U.
