Abstract: This final rule amends the definition of the term "process vent" to simplify the associated reporting requirements and to make other minor editorial changes and clarifications. This rule applies to the synthetic organic chemical manufacturing industry and other processes subject to the negotiated regulation for equipment leaks. The amendments include provisions to allow off-site control of process vent emissions and add procedures for establishing a new compliance date under certain circumstances. They also include a different procedure for determining the performance of biological treatment units with multiple mixing zones of mixing. This file is a fact sheet about amendment
