| Abstract: The EPA is promulgating NESHAP for miscellaneous metal parts and products surface coating operations located at major sources of HAP. The final rule implements section 112(d) of the CAA by requiring these operations to meet HAP emission standards reflecting the application of the MACT. The final rule will protect air quality and promote the public health by reducing emissions of xylene, toluene, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), phenol, cresols/cresylic acid, glycol ethers (including ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (EGBE)), styrene, methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), and ethyl benzene. |
