| Abstract: The proposed Consolidated Federal Air Rule (CAR) for the synthetic organic chemical manufacturing industry will consolidate major portions of 16 existing federal air rules into one set of regulations. The intent of the CAR is to simplify, clarify, reduce burden, and improve implementation and compliance of the existing rules with which source owners or operators must comply. The CAR will be an optional compliance alternative for owners or operators subject to the existing rules. |
