Abstract:
The EPA is proposing standards to reduce emissions of air toxics from the clay ceramics manufacturing industry. The proposed standards would limit emissions of hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride, and metal air toxics that occur during the manufacture of pressed floor tile, pressed wall tile, other pressed tile; and sanitaryware (e.g., sinks and toilets). The standards propose to control these emissions from all new tunnel kilns and roller kilns. This file is the text of the proposed rule.
