Changes in MATS version 2.3.1 (compared to version 2.2.1) 7/23/10 24-hr PM2.5 1) Added capability to perform the 24-hr PM2.5 attainment test (calculating future year PM2.5 concentrations at FRM monitors) by applying the EPA photochemical modeling guidance procedures. See: http://www.epa.gov/scram001/guidance/guide/final-03-pm-rh-guidance.pdf . Note that spatial fields are not implemented for the 24-hr PM2.5 test. A future release will contain 24-hr spatial fields. 2) The 24-hour PM2.5 attainment test calculations and GUI details are included in the revised MATS user's guide. The user's guide can be accessed from within MATS and is also included as a separate PDF file in the installer package. 3) The default ambient data files for the 24-hour PM2.5 test were already included in the previous MATS release. Those files have been updated and are now used in the 24-hr test. MATS currently includes FRM data through 2008 and PM speciation through 2006. The ambient data files will be updated in a future release. Annual PM2.5 1) There is a new option to "automatically extract all selected output files". If this option is checked, the MATS ouput files will automatically be extracted from the .asr file and placed in a subdirectory (created by MATS) with the same name as the scenario name. The subdirectory is created in the MATS\output directory. 2) The "PM2.5 for fractions" file has been updated. Ozone 1) There is a new option to "automatically extract all selected output files". If this option is checked, the MATS ouput files will automatically be extracted from the .asr file and placed in a subdirectory (created by MATS) with the same name as the scenario name. The subdirectory is created in the MATS\output directory. 2) The default ozone design value ambient data file has been updated to include official design values through 2008. Visibility 1) There is a new option to "automatically extract all selected output files". If this option is checked, the MATS ouput files will automatically be extracted from the .asr file and placed in a subdirectory (created by MATS) with the same name as the scenario name. The subdirectory is created in the MATS\output directory.
