Pesticide Products
For proper use of pesticides in Region 8, contact the nearest Department of Agriculture or Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service for information regarding pesticide specialized training, and always read the labels.
Following are additional sources to check for information on Controlling Pests, Pesticide Products, Restricted-Use Pesticides, Re-registration and Special Review, or Cancellation and Suspension--
- The Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) provides general information on applying for registration of pesticides in the United States.
- Riskiest pesticides are first assessed under the Food Quality Protection Act. For information on these pesticides, search the the Code of Federal Regulations for Notice & Tolerance Reassessment.
- A list of banned and severely restricted pesticides provides information on unregistered pesticides exported from the U.S. It also includes regulatory actions taken in the U.S. that may have significance for other countries.
- Information about pesticide products is available from the Pest Management Resource Center.
A table listing the properly registered bear deterrents is included on this website.
Product information regarding treated wood preservatives is also included.
