WasteWise Award Winners
2006 Award Winners
The 2006 WasteWise and NPEP Annual Conference: Partnering for Success in Sustainability being held on October 19 and 20, 2006, at The Westin Arlington Gateway Hotel in Arlington, Virginia will recognize 36 WasteWise partners for significant waste reduction and recycling achievements.
Constellation Energy/BGE and Guardian Automotive - Ligonier Plant will be inducted into the WasteWise Hall of Fame. The WasteWise Hall of Fame recognizes long-standing partners that have continually reported outstanding waste reduction results, identified innovative waste reduction strategies, served as role models for others, and supported program initiatives.
Following a competitive selection process, EPA will present 10 Partner of the Year awards, one Endorser of the Year award, 11 Gold Achievement Awards, and 16 Honorable Mentions.
The WasteWise Partner of the Year Award recognizes overall waste reduction achievements, efforts to purchase or manufacture recycled-content products, and activities to promote WasteWise. The Endorser of the Year award recognizes an organization for outstanding efforts to promote the WasteWise program. The Gold Achievement Award recognizes partners' achievements in specific focus areas. Honorable Mentions are presented to partners who made noteworthy accomplishments in waste reduction.
