RecycleMania
RecycleMania is a competition among colleges and universities to see which schools can collect the most recyclables over a 10-week period. Founded by two WasteWise partners in 2001, the program has been extremely successful, with the number of participants nearly doubling each year.
Since collaborating with WasteWise in 2004, enrollment has nearly jumped
to 200 participants in 2007. By promoting waste reduction and environmental
stewardship among students with a fun, proactive competition, RecycleMania
hopes to increase student involvement in about recycling. Winners of the
RecycleMania competition receive a RecycleMania trophy.
