Green Seal Exit EPA
Green Seal is the independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the environment by promoting the manufacture and sale of environmentally responsible consumer products. It sets environmental standards and awards a "Green Seal of Approval" to products that cause less harm to the environment than other similar products.

King County, Washington Exit EPA
This is the Web site of King County, Washington's recycled product procurement program. The program, which began in 1989, established King County as a leader in developing applications for recycled products. This site describes the tools and techniques developed by King County agencies for purchasing recycled products.

Office of the Federal Environmental Executive Exit EPA

Recycler's World Exit EPA
This site is a worldwide trading site for information related to secondary or recyclable commodities, by-products, used materials, and surplus items. There is also a calendar of events, a listing of associations, and a publications list.

Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) Exit EPA
SCS documents environmental claims, such as "recycled content" and "biodegradability," appearing on thousands of products and materials. SCS's Compliance Evaluation Program helps retailers, government agencies, and corporate procurement officials screen the environmental claims made by their vendors to ensure responsible green marketing.

Texas Recycled Exit EPA

American Plastics Council (APC) Exit EPA
This Web site includes an online Recycled Plastics Product Directory, which contains a lists of manufacturers of products that report postconsumer plastic content of at least 10 percent.

California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) Exit EPA
This site includes an online Recycled Content Product (RCP) Database, consisting of information on recycled products, manufacturers, distributors, reprocessors, mills, and converters who procure or produce recycled-content products or the recycled materials needed to make them. The result is a growing list of over 10,000 materials, products, and businesses.

Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance Exit EPA
This directory of recycled-content product manufacturers contains product descriptions, recycled content specifications, distributor listings, and manufacturer contact information.

National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) Exit EPA
The Recycled PET (RPET) Catalog provides a list of suppliers that manufacture products containing postconsumer PET plastic bottles.

National Association of State Purchasing Officials (NASPO) Exit EPA
This site provides monthly updates on buy recycled and green purchasing, and describes the county's experience with different recycled products. The site also includes information on resources for buyers, provides a model environmental purchasing policy, and contains the King County Recycled Procurement 1998 Annual Report.

The Official Recycled Products Guide Exit EPA
This guide is available on the Internet and is updated on a regular basis. In order to access the guide, users will need to order a subscription, which ranges from $69 to $295 depending on the type of subscription. Pennsylvania Resource Council (PRC) Exit EPA
This site includes the PRC's 1998 Buyer's Guide to Recycled Products, an online directory of recycled products, and a listing of its links to recycled products directories including national, association, building, construction, green products, state and regional directories.

Recycle Iowa Exit EPA

U.S. EPA's Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines
