Introduction to Section 319 of the Clean Water Act (CWA): Nonpoint Source (NPS) Management Program

Course Description: There will be four sessions of the Introduction to CWA section 319 webinar. Each session will focus on a unique set of concepts:
- Session 1: July 22, 2009: Discussion of NPS pollution, common best management practices, and using section 106 or other funding (other than 319) to help implement a NPS Program.
- Session 2: August 12, 2009: Discussion of 319 eligibility requirements and developing or revising NPS assessment and management plans.
- Session 3: TBD: Discussion of base and competitive funding processes and developing a good work plan.
- Session 4: TBD: Discussion of outreach and education tools to gain support for watershed assessments, watershed plans, and implementing management practices to address polluted runoff.
