Special Edition WaterNews for September 11, 2003On the second anniversary of the terrorists attack on America, we look back on the tragic events of that day and our hearts are filled with deep sadness. Our thoughts are with the thousands of Americans who lost loved ones that terrible day. Following the attacks we put together a Water Protection Task Force to oversee protection of America's drinking water systems. I am proud of all the hours of work and salute our people for their dedication and hard work. I am pleased to announce that the Agency has created a new division for Water Security. Details of this announcement and a review of the accomplishments of the Water Protection Task Force are listed below. We can all feel a sense of pride in knowing that we did our very best to respond to this horrific day and that, hopefully, our work will protect all Americans in the years ahead. God Bless America!!!
