ADB v.2 Training

On-site Training

EPA offers on-site training for the ADB v.2 in conjunction with training for the NHD Reach Indexing Tool (NHD-RIT), which allows you to create GIS layers containing the Assessment Units in the ADB. You can view a list of current scheduled training classes at http://www.epa.gov/owow/monitoring/georef/schedule.html

Self-paced Training

The ADB v.2 hands-on tutorials are designed to familiarize the user with the Assessment Database by giving detailed explanations of the user interfaces and functionality. The tutorial includes sample data that illustrate scenarios that will help the user understand how to effectively use the database to manage water quality data. Detailed steps for the "hands-on" exercises using the sample data are contained in gray boxes in the tutorial.

Use the links below to obtain the materials you need for the tutorials:

  • The ADB v.2 installed in your local workspace (on your computer or on your network). You can download the ADB v.2 from the Tools section. Contact OWSUPPORT Exit EPA Disclaimer if you have questions about installation.

  • Sample Data - Unzip the contents of the ADBSampleData.zip file into a folder called "ADB_SampleData" in your local workspace.

  • Training Document
    for Oracle, Access, and SQL Server versions
