Data DownloadsGeographic Information System (GIS) shapefiles are available for download that represent varying spatial extents. The shapefiles that are available for download by state or watershed are generally more up-to-date than the national shapefiles. Information on how to obtain the state or watershed level shapefiles , as well as how to obtain the national shapefiles for selected programs are detailed below. State or Watershed Level ShapefilesYou may download the spatial files representing the most up-to-date publicly available Water program data by State or Watershed from the NHD Reach Address Database (RAD) download page. National ShapefilesThese static files reflect the information in the NHD Reach Address Database (RAD) on the date of extract. To be included in this dataset States and other jurisdictions must have submitted information to the program database, and that information must have been indexed to the RAD.Check the STATUS of available data. National RAD extracts by program: 303(d) Listed Impaired Waters The shapefiles contain the event data, but the attribute data for the shapefiles are contained in external databases. To find information about obtaining the attribute data and how to link the data to the shapefile event tables, visit the Water Program Data Download page. Note: The GIS shapefiles show the spatial extent of the waterbody segments. Attribute information must be joined/linked from the corresponding program attribute table to the shapefile by the relational key. The relational key for the shapefiles is ENTITYID. 303(d) Listed Impaired Waters
303(c) WQSDB National Shapefile
The WQSDB National geodatabase file contains both the event spatial data and the supporting event attribute tables. To find information about linking together spatial and attribute datasets, please visit the Water Program Data Download page.
