Management Actions to Protect/ Restore Resources
Where problems have been identified through the bioassessment/biocriteria effort, management actions including discharge reduction, pollution abatement, land use changes, and/or resource use adjustment can be implemented to both improve degraded areas and to protect exceptional minimally impaired sites from future damage.
A variety of state/tribal and federal programs can make use of biocriteria and bioassessment data in these management efforts.
