Draft Protocols, Groundrules, and Voting
Protocols for the Call
Suggested protocols for today's call are as follows:
- Committee Members are on the call.
- Other interested people are listening as observers and will not talk until the designated public comment period on the agenda.
- Please keep your phones on mute until you are called on or want to speak.
- Each agenda item will be announced as we take it up.
- Identify yourself when speaking.
- During discussion, please keep your comments short and to the point. It's essential that you listen to others and allow others to speak.
Groundrules
The Committee's groundrules on making decisions specify the following:
- Consensus is defined as agreement of all members and consensus will be the method of determining committee agreement on issues. Members will vote using one of three options: "agree", "disagree" or "not opposed." Consensus will be defined as all members "agreeing" or "not opposed to" the decision. Votes will be tallied.
The quorum for voting is 16 Committee members, with at least one representative from each caucus.
Voting
When it is time to vote, you will be called upon individually and asked to indicate your vote. We will report the results when everyone has voted.
