Summary Statement

Over the course of Policy Work Group calls on November 9, 11, and 17, each of which lasted from two to three hours, the Policy Work Group reviewed draft, revised and final documents related to policy issues and recommendations. Rather than preparing summaries of the discussions, after each conference call the facilitation team revised documents based on the discussions and/or worked with Policy Work Group members and subgroups to produce revised documents for discussion on the next call.

In that sense, the revised documents reflect the substance of the discussions from the previous call.

The documents the Policy Work Group developed over the course of these three calls included the following:

These documents were sent to the committee on November 20, 2006 for members to review in advance and to discuss and make decisions at the committee's December 6-8 meeting.
