Technical Work Group members will review the latest revisions to the documents as distributed by Triangle no later than Monday, June 12.
Triangle will:
- Update the two documents reviewed in today's session based on comments received during the call and additional input that will be received no later than Monday, June 12.
- Distribute the latest updates no later than Monday, June 12, for final review and comment by the Technical Work Group.
- Distribute final meeting documents on June 20 to the committee.
Welcome and Introductions
At 1:00 p.m., Bob Wheeler, facilitator, welcomed participants to the call, conducted a roll call of Technical Work Group (TWG) members and observers, and briefly reviewed the agenda for the meeting. All participants confirmed receipt of the documents for the session.
Mr. Wheeler said the primary purpose of today's meeting was to complete the review and edit on the three documents which are part of the package that will be sent to the committee on June 20.
The order of agenda items that correspond to the documents sent was changed to:
- 1:10 PM - Discussion and Agreement of Data Calculations/Analyses
- 1:30 PM - Discussion of Features of What the Pilot Will Do and Desired Features of a Post-FACDQ Pilot Study
- 2:10 PM - Discussion and Agreement of TWG Questions, Products, Assignments for July FACDQ Meeting
The review and approval of all meeting notes were tabled until the next session (May 10, 12, 16, 24 and 31). Mr. Wheeler asked that participants also review take a look to verify the attendance record, especially with regard to the sessions on May 10, 12 and 16.
Proposed Limit Calculations/Analyses
Mr. Wheeler asked Ken Miller to summarize the document describing limit calculations and analyses from the pilot study. Following discussion, it was agreed that Ken would prepare revisions to FACDQ Decision (page 2) and part B, Limit Calculation Based on Most Representative Dataset (page 3) and carry those revisions through the document, as needed. Due to time constraints, the TWG participants decided on a broad document review rather than a section by section review.
Concern was raised about the level of specificity (or lack thereof) contained in the document since the policy discussion will get into specifics. Mr. Wheeler asked if the Uses Straw document helps the TWG resolve the specificity concern (note: the Uses Straw document was sent to the FACDQ committee representatives who are members of the TWG).
It was suggested that the TWG presentation to the FACDQ committee could be used to resolve any of the concerns. Participants were reminded that they will begin discussions at the July FACDQ meeting. The idea is to ensure that the procedures are aligned with the intended use of the data.
The time taken for discussion of this document did not allow time for the review of the other two documents on the agenda. It was therefore agreed that for the next TWG meeting, participants come prepared to complete the reviews on each of the three documents. Participants agreed to schedule the next date via email correspondence.
Features of What the Pilot Will Do and Desired Features of a Post-FACDQ Pilot Study
Completion of the review occurs at the next TWG meeting.
TWG Questions, Products and Assignments for July Committee Meeting
Completion of the review occurs at the next TWG meeting.
Public Comment
There were no public comments.

- Revised Data Calculations/Analyses
- TWG Questions, Products, Assignments for July FACDQ Meeting
- Features of What the Pilot Will Do and Desired Features of a Post-FACDQ Pilot Study
He adjourned the meeting at 3:00 PM EDT.
