Training Workshop Materials
The following are materials from the AQUATOX workshop presented October 24-26, 2006 in Philadelphia. The lectures and exercises are based on AQUATOX Release 2.2.
AQUATOX Application
The first file consists of an self-executable file that includes AQUATOX Release 2.2 (43 Mb), plus all of the example and data files used for the course exercises. It also includes files that help link AQUATOX to the BASINS GIS-modeling system, which is used in one exercise. The executable file automatically creates the correct directory structure, including a "Documents" subfolder, although it does not contain the supporting documents themselves (see below).
Once the download completes, find and double-click the file. The file will unzip and install on your Windows PC. Follow the instructions from the installation program. More information on specific installation files...
If you prefer, you can download just the AQUATOX program. Please note, there aren't as many example studies in this download.
Documentation
These files include all of the supporting documents, such as the course lecture materials and all AQUATOX user manuals, technical documentation, and their addenda. If you download the complete zip file, unzip it to the Documents sub-folder (see below).

AQUATOX Web Training Installshield README
This workshop Installshield extracts the following files:
- AQUATOX folder
- OUTPUT, PROGRAM, DATABASE, STUDIES subfolders—Basic AQUATOX file structure including locations for file output, executables, parameters, and example AQUATOX simulations.
- ReadMe-Installshield-AQUATOX3-Web-Training.pdf—This text.
- WinHSPF subfolder
- BLUE.WDM & revATC.UCI—BASINS files to be used in the linkage exercise. (Note: these files must not be in a directory structure that includes space characters or the exercises will not work. Also, GenScn, WinHSPF version 2.3 or higher must be installed to complete some parts of the short-course.)
- Document subfolder
- This subfolder is where the documentation goes.
- Data subfolder
- This subfolder contains the data files and spreadsheets to be used in the exercises.
