EPA collected data from more than 30 fixed air monitors in
and around ground zero, regional monitors
in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and New Jersey,
and more than 30 fixed air monitors at the Staten
Island Landfill, where debris from the search and recovery
and excavation operations was sifted for evidence and to identify
victims.
