Expert Comments |
As part of their charge, the WTC Expert Technical Review Panel has been tasked to evaluate the appropriateness of the use of asbestos as a surrogate measure to determine the risk from other World Trade Center contaminants in the EPA cleanup effort around the WTC site. To assist the Panel in this effort, EPA used their peer review contractor, ERG, Inc., to enlist the help of five experts who have developed independent comments on this topic. Their expertise ranges from asbestos monitoring to exposure and health risk assessment. The charge memo provided to these experts is posted below, along with the individual expert comments provided to EPA.
