David M. Newman, M.A., M.S., is an industrial hygienist on the staff of the New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH), a private, non-profit, union-based membership organization. Since 9/11/01, Mr. Newman has coordinated NYCOSH's World Trade Center Health and Safety Project, which, in partnership with the National Disaster Ministries of the United Church of Christ, has provided education and technical assistance on 9/11-related occupational and environmental health issues to workers, unions, employers, and community and tenant organizations throughout Lower Manhattan.
