Dr. Jeanne Mager Stellman |
Dr. Jeanne Mager Stellman is on the faculty of the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University, where she directs the General Public Health program and is Deputy Head of the Department of Health Policy and Management. A physical chemist by training, she has spent most of her professional career in occupational and environmental health research, training and public service. She recently completed a major project for the National Academy of Sciences on developing a methodology for characterizing exposure to military herbicides used in Vietnam. She is the editor of the 4th edition of the "Encylcopaedia of Occupational Health and Safety," an international standard reference and of the journal "Women and Health." She has written several books, and numerous monographs, chapters and scholarly papers and is the recipient of a number of prestigious awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship.
