Helena Wooden-Aguilar

Helena Wooden Aguilar Helena Wooden-Aguilar is EPA's Acting Deputy Chief of Staff.  Previously, Ms. Wooden-Aguilar served as the Director of the Resource Management Staff in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), Office of Criminal Enforcement, Forensics and Training (OCEFT), where she was responsible for their financial, human resources, and administrative management activities. She also served in various management positions in the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) where she managed internal and external civil rights activities, served as an expert advisor on highly sensitive issues involving civil rights and equal opportunity requirements, and led OCR’s financial and human resource efforts.

She earned her J.D. degree from Vermont Law School and has two B.A. degrees in sociology and anthropology with honors from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
