Navigation Tips for the Climate Change Adaptation Resource Center

Tip # 1 – Finding What You Want
The Adaptation Resource Center allows users to navigate using a tailored search by selecting a U.S. region and climate interests. Users may also explore using a more traditional or linear route. Two ways to search:

  • Explore climate adaptation information by particular region of the country, we recommend that you Tailor Your Search.
  • For information on a particular area of interest, we recommend that you visit Implications of Climate Change (traditional web browsing).

Tip #2 – Tailor Your Search: Select a U.S. Geographic Region & Area of Interest
When using the Tailor Your Search feature you must select a U.S. geographic region and at least one area of interest.

Tip #3 – Tailor Your Search: Results
Submitting your search of both a U.S. geographic region and at least one area of interest will provide you the following dropdown accordions with tailored information:

  • Climate Change in Your Region
  • Implications of Climate Change
  • Adaptation Strategies
  • Case Studies
  • Tools
  • Training
  • Funding Opportunities
  • EPA Contacts & State Websites

Tip #4 – Tailor Your Search: Starting a New Search
If at any time you would like to begin a new search, via the Tailor Your Search portal, you can select the blue "Search Again" button in the upper or lower right-hand corner of the page.

Tip #5 – Tailor My Search: How do I know if I am in the Tailor My Search portal?
You will know you are in the Tailor My Search portal if you see the title “Tailor Your Climate Adaptation Search” at the top of the webpage.

Tip #6 – Comprehensive Case Study List
To see all the climate change adaptation case studies select the "Show All" button, or by selecting all four boxes in "Level of Government" in the Adaptation Case Study Section.

Tip #7 – Searching Adaptation Strategies
Adaptation strategies can be found by area of interest – air, water, waste, and public health.

  • Explore adaptation strategies by interest (air, water, waste, and public health) we recommend that you visit the Adaptation Strategies Section.
  • To view a list of all adaptation strategies, we recommend that you visit the Comprehensive list of Adaptation Strategies.
