EPA to Hold Public Meeting on Soil Sampling Near Federated Metals Site in Hammond, Ind.

CHICAGO (May 21, 2018) – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will host a public meeting on May 23 to update the community on residential soil sampling and cleanup activities in Hammond and Whiting near the Federated Metals site, at 2230 Indianapolis Blvd. in Hammond, Ind.

The meeting will begin with a presentation and will be followed by a general questions and answers session. Residents will also have an opportunity to speak with EPA staff one-on-one.
