TODAY: EPA Administrator to Deliver CERA Keynote and Visit Port of Houston
WASHINGTON - Today, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy will be in Houston to deliver the keynote address at the CERAWeek conference on energy and the environment and to visit the Port of Houston to discuss grants aimed at improving air quality. The Port of Houston is one of four US ports receiving $5 million in EPA Diesel Emission Reduction Act (DERA) grants for clean diesel projects. The administrator's trip is part of EPA's continuing efforts to engage industry, local leaders and other stakeholders as the agency works to implement President Obama's Climate Action Plan that will build more resilient communities and curb the carbon pollution fueling climate change.
