An important category of Scope 1 direct greenhouse gas (GHG) are fugitive emissions, which result from the direct release to the atmosphere of GHG compounds from various types of equipment and processes. Use this document identify and estimate direct emissions of GHGs from refrigeration and air conditioning systems, fire suppression systems, and the purchase and release of industrial gases.
