EPA convened the Hazardous Waste Electronic Manifest System ("e-Manifest") Advisory Board on September 26-28, 2017, at the Environmental Protection Agency Conference Center, Lobby Level, One Potomac Yard (South Building), 2777 South Crystal Drive, Arlington, Virginia 22202. The meeting theme was “Implementing e-Manifest: User Registration and Account Activation.” The purpose of the meeting was to address critical e-Manifest user registration and account activation issues that need resolution prior to launching the e-Manifest system.

EPA is on schedule to launch the hazardous waste electronic manifest (e-Manifest) system in June 2018. Manifest users who intend to track their hazardous waste shipments electronically or access manifest data from the e-Manifest system will have to register with the EPA prior to using the system. At the September Advisory Board meeting, the Advisory Board provided recommendations to the EPA on the process the EPA should use to register and activate user accounts and electronic signature agreements (ESAs) for the e-Manifest System.
