Texas April 18 DFW Airport's Earth Day Celebration

Staff from EPA's Region 6 (Dallas) office will be an exhibitor at the DFW Airport’s Annual Earth Day Celebration event presented by the DFW Environmental Affairs team. Approximately 700 elementary students will join us to learn about the importance of protecting our Earth’s natural resources. This Earth Day Celebration encourages students to work as a team to promote diversity, to be creative, and to apply their recently gained knowledge to protect our planet.

Texas April 19 University of Texas Dallas' Earth Fair

Staff from EPA's Region 6 (Dallas) office will participate in the 7th annual UT Dallas Earth Fair. This event features informational booths and interactive activities from student organizations, campus departments and community partners that will help to equip, connect and empower our leaders of tomorrow to adopt eco-friendly practices and minimize their environmental footprint. EPA's Water Division is one of over 400 participating groups in the UT event to learn about alternative energy options, organic gardening, habitat restoration, local food production, waste reduction, and more.

Texas April 19-21 Earth Day Texas

Staff from EPA's Region 6 (Dallas) office will present 3 exhibits from its Water and Multi-Media divisions and the Mobile Command Post. Earth Day Texas presents participants and attendees with breakthrough solutions that will empower them to make a difference in their communities.

Texas April 20 EarthX Law & Policy Symposium

EPA Region 6 Administrator Anne Idsal is scheduled to speak at the EarthX Law & Policy Symposium in Texas. EarthX is an international environmental nonprofit based in Texas dedicated to educating and inspiring action for a sustainable future, and the Law & Policy Symposium is a unique opportunity to hear from environmental leaders with diverse perspectives on legal issues that chart a course for a future that is both protective and productive. Anyone can attend the Symposium at EarthX but there is a $100 registration fee (free for students).

Colorado April 21 Longmont Earth Day Celebration

Sustainable Resilient Longmont is organizing the fourth annual Earth Day Celebration on April 21st, 2018 at the Longmont Museum. This year’s celebration will be a family-friendly event open to kids and adults of all ages. EPA staff from Region 8 will have environmental education booths, speakers and performers as well as arts and crafts, and opportunities to find out more about sustainability initiatives in Longmont.

Colorado April 21 Mountain Area Earth Day Celebration

Growing since 1990, the fair regularly features over 30 federal (including EPA staff from Region 8 ), state, and local agencies, nonprofit organizations and businesses. Up-to-date information on critical issues will be available for open discussions and to take home. One of the festival’s most popular groups, HawkQuest, will again present its live raptors.

Colorado April 21 City of Westminster Earth Day Celebration

Find out how small steps can make a difference and save money at Westminster’s Earth Day Celebration. Presentations are scheduled to help you learn about the environment, save money, conserve resources and appreciate the beauty of our earth. Attain individualized information and advice. Enjoy the beautiful park, free giveaways, and food vendors throughout the day. EPA staff from Region 8 will be there.

Colorado April 21 Lakewood Earth Day Fair

This FREE community event celebrates sustainability in Lakewood. EPA staff from Region 8 will be there.

Colorado April 21 Garden of the Gods / Rockledge Ranch Earth Day Celebration

Earth Day at Garden of the Gods is a special celebration. Every year we strive to bring the community together and celebrate the earth that we all enjoy. We offer many fun and free family activities at both Rock Ledge Ranch and the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center. EPA staff from Region 8 will be there.

Texas April 21 Solar Rollers Texas Trophy Race

Region 6 Administrator Anne Idsal is scheduled to be a judge at the Solar Rollers Texas Trophy Race. Energetics Education is the non-profit that provides the Solar Roller program which challenges high school student teams to design, build, and race sophisticated solar-powered remote control cars. The Solar Rollers Texas Trophy Race is open to the public and free of charge at the EarthX Expo.

LOCATION: Food and Fiber Pavilion - Fair Park, 1121 First Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75210
TIME: Judging scheduled for  9 AM - noon.

Colorado April 22 The Wild Animal Sanctuary Earth Day

Join us for an event that is designed to not only help "Mother Earth", but also the animals and humans that inhabit this wonderful planet! A general celebration with arts, crafts, and vendors will add lots of fun to the mix, so plan to celebrate your "Wild Earth Day" with us and more than 450 of the wildest friends you could ever have. EPA staff from Region 8 will be there.

Missouri April 22 EPA Region 7 Administrator Jim Gulliford Presents Food Recovery Challenge Award at St. Louis Cardinals Game

EPA Region 7 Administrator Jim Gulliford is recognizing the St. Louis Cardinals and fellow St. Louisans, The Green Dining Alliance, and the Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, for their sustainability efforts. Each organization is a member of EPA’s Food Recovery Challenge, and together, they’ve helped reduce waste in the St. Louis region.  Mr. Gulliford is presenting the EPA’s Food Recovery Challenge Award, along with a National WasteWise Small Business Partner of the Year award to the Urban Chestnut Brewing Company for their efforts to divert, donate, and compost waste.

LOCATION: Busch Stadium, St. Louis, MO
TIME: During pregame activites. The game with the Cininatti Reds begins at 1:15 PM CDT
