USFWS releases a fact sheet summarizing its efforts in removing the fish and wildlife beneficial use impairments.

Bird Studies Canada begins its Marsh Monitoring Program.

Recapture studies indicates that juvenile fish populations are healthy where the gravelly substrate they prefer is present. Growth rates are also determined to be similar to those measured in similar waters and that benthic organisms necessary to a sturgeon diet are present.


The Village of Churchville wastewater treatment plant is diverted to the Pure Waters system. This eliminates a point source of phosphorus discharge to Black Creek, a major tributary to Genesee River.
