Green Power Partnership

Locate Green Power Suppliers

EPA recommends shopping for green power to identify and compare options. EPA strongly recommends buying green power that has been third-party certified and verified to nationally-accepted standards for product quality and content.

An online resource to help you identify certified and verified green power that meets nationally accepted standards is the “Find Green-e CertifiedEXIT search tool. This tool is managed by a nongovernmental organization that developed a standard for green power.  Search for Renewable Energy options and then narrow your search by Product Type and by State.

The Product Type options are:

  • Utility Green Pricing: bundled green power available to residential and commercial customers in regulated markets
  • Commercial Renewable Electricity: bundled green power available to commercial customers in deregulated markets
  • Residential Renewable Electricity: bundled green power available to residential customers in deregulated markets
  • Commercial Renewable Energy Certificate: RECs available solely to commercial customers
  • Residential and Commercial Renewable Energy Certificate: RECs available for residential and commercial customers

Each search result will yield green power options within a state, the renewable content mix of the green power, and several purchase options if available.
