Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools: Preventive Maintenance Guidance Documents

With thoughtful planning and regular maintenance for your buildings and facilities, you can prevent many issues from becoming costly problems through preventive maintenance. This guide will walk you through the steps to develop and implement your indoor air quality (IAQ) preventive maintenance plan. Within its pages, you will find tips to help you make the case for your plan and gain the buy-in you need from your school community. You also will find detailed guidance on why walkthroughs and assessments of your facilities, integrated pest management (IPM), green cleaning, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) and equipment upkeep, and mold and moisture prevention are important and how you can include them in your plan.
