West Lake Landfill - Public Comment Period

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 has published the Proposed Plan and initiated a public comment period for the West Lake Landfill Superfund Site, located in Bridgeton, Missouri. 

EPA has received and approved a request for the extension of the public comment period, which will now run through April 23, 2018.

A Public Meeting to inform residents of the Proposed Plan, and obtain comments on the Proposed Plan and EPA’s preferred remedy, was held:

Bridgeton, Missouri

Written comments will be accepted throughout the comment period, and oral comments were submitted at the EPA Public Meeting.

EPA encouraged residents to register in advance to submit comments at the Public Meeting. Registration was held on a first-come, first-serve basis. Residents registered by contacting Ben Washburn, community involvement coordinator, at 913-551-7364 or washburn.ben@epa.gov.
