EPA Administrator Pruitt and Representative Conaway meet to discuss environmental and economic issues

Audio

Speaker: Rep. Mike Conaway

Well at least for the folks that grow our food and the cotton that we use in our clothing, it means they’re going to have a common sense, rational approach to regulations. We all want clean air, we all want to drink clean water, but there’s a way to make that happen; that allows those things to happen, but allows our manufacturers and in this sense as growers to produce that food, at the, the way they’ve been doing it.
Getting that certainty, getting things through the permitting process. Whether it’s new herbicides or pesticides, all of those things could be done better at the EPA. And I’ve great confidence Scott and his team are going to get that process rolling.
I guess he’s off to a good start and I’m tickled to death, he’s a breath of fresh air, quite frankly, coming out of EPA, and I’m looking forward to his future success.
