The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in coordination with the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and the New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department will hold a community meeting on November 3, 2016. During the meeting, the agencies will provide an update on current and future cleanup work at the Questa mine followed by a question and answer session. Following the question and answer session, agency personnel will be available to talk with the community. Beginning in November 2016, EPA will begin the First Five-Year Review for the Chevron Questa Site. The First Five-Year Review will determine if the cleanup work conducted so far at the Site remains protective of human health and the environment.
