Public Notice: Consent Agreement and Final Order CWA-03-2018-0103: The City of Allentown, Pennsylvania

Summary

The City of Allentown has signed a Consent Agreement and Final Order pursuant to CWA Section 309 to address the City of Allentown’s failure to comply with requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Permit No. PA-0063665 (MS4 Permit).  The Agency and the City have reached an agreement in principle to settle alleged violations to the Clean Water Act for a monetary penalty of $50,000. Since the 2014 NPDES Inspection, the City has further developed and implemented its MS4 program as documented in its publicly available annual reports.
