The U.S. Environmental Agency is reviewing the cleanup that was conducted at the Drake Chemical Superfund Site located in Lock Haven. EPA inspects sites regularly to ensure that cleanups conducted remain protective of public health and the environment. EPA’s previous review of the site in 2013 determined that the remedy was working as designed, and that addition of institutional controls and modification to the water treatment system should be performed to ensure long-term protectiveness. Findings from the current review that is being conducted will be available September 2018.
