Public Notice: Seneca Resources Corporation, Pennsylvania

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region III (EPA) plans to issue an Underground Injection Control (UIC) Class II-D permit to Seneca Resources Corporation (Seneca) for disposal of fluids from Seneca oil and gas operations. This action is being taken pursuant to the Federal UIC regulations at 40 C.F.R. Parts 124, 144, 146, and 147.  A public hearing has been tentatively scheduled for July 24, 2017, at 7:00PM at the Highland Township Fire Hall located on Pennsylvania Avenue in James City, Pennsylvania.  Requests to hold a public hearing must be received in writing to EPA by July 20, 2017.  When requesting a public hearing, please state the nature of the issue(s) you propose to raise.  EPA expressly reserves the right not to hold a hearing unless a significant degree of public interest on the proposed permit is demonstrated by July 20, 2017
