The U.S. Environmental Agency is reviewing the cleanup that was conducted at the Tonolli Corp. Superfund Site located in Nesquehoning. EPA inspects sites regularly to ensure that cleanups conducted remain protective of public health and the environment. EPA’s previous review of the site in 2013 determined that the remedy is protective in the short-term. Long-term protectiveness will be determined once all groundwater cleanup goals are met. Findings from the current review being conducted will be available June 2018.
