Draft AERMET

We are pleased to announce that  draft versions (21DRF) of AERMET and MMIF (v. 4.0) are now available. These draft versions are being released for an informal public review, testing, and comment period. After the informal comment period, the EPA intends to incorporate the public feedback and release an updated version of both AERMET and MMIF for regulatory applications.

The Draft AERMET Transmittal Memo provides more detail on the draft release, including specifics on the updates included in the draft version of AERMET and how it is coupled with the draft version of MMIF, relevant information on the appropriate usage for regulatory applications, and the items for which we are specifically seeking feedback.

The EPA would appreciate written informal comments no later than Monday, February 7, 2022. For questions and feedback on AERMET, please contact James Thurman through email at thurman.james@epa.gov. For questions and feedback on MMIF, please contact Chris Misenis through email at misenis.chris@epa.gov.

The EPA conducted a Draft AERMET Webinar on Monday, December 13, 2021 to introduce the draft releases of AERMET v21DRF and MMIF v4.0Draft, to explain underlying updates made in the model code, to describe the informal comment process, and to answer questions. The slides from that webinar are provided through the link below:
