Background

The 2-acre SCRDI Dixiana Superfund site is located on Ballard Court in Cayce, Lexington County, South Carolina. The site includes a ground water extraction and treatment system and a privately owned warehouse. Ballard Court borders the site to the north. Two residential properties border the site to the east. Commercial and retail land uses, including a farmer’s market, an amphitheater and a South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCRCI) facility, border the site to the west and south.
