How to Join

  1. Set up your account in the SMM Data Management System Exit and complete the Endorser Participation Agreement.
  2. Determine first year goals for outreach activities.
    1. Outreach activities can include, but are not limited to newsletters, presentations, meetings, and social media -- to educate others on the importance of sustainable food management and encourage organizations and businesses to join the EPA Food Recovery Challenge.
      • Another form of outreach is recruiting participants for the FRC. You can help others learn why preventing and reducing wasted food makes good business sense and helps the environment. You can also connect participants to ongoing FRC resources, participant success stories, and technical expertise on reducing wasted food.
  3. Document and share your annual outreach activities in the SMM Data Management System (by the designated deadline of each year).
