This file contains provisional data collected by the National Coastal Condition Assessment in 2020 and 2021.

Station location information may be obtained from the Provisional NCCA 2020 SITEINFO File. The UID column may be used to merge NCCA 2020 data files with the SITEINFO file.		
The data have been reviewed  for incorrect spellings. Special characters have been removed. 		
Non-Target species included in analyses have been reviewed and deemed acceptable for NCCA use.

COMMENT		"Comment explaining NARS_FLAG or other qualifying information, if applicable."
DATE_COL		"Date majority of samples/measurement for NCCA were taken. Note that due to COVID travel restrictions, some ISA and NPA sites have been sampled for fish only and other parameters/samples are scheduled to be collected in 2022."
ACTUAL_DATE		"Date this sample/measurement was taken if different from DATE_COL. If blank, does not apply to this record."
FISH_LEN		Length of fish specimen
FISH_WT		Mass of fish specimen
LEN_UNIT		Unit of Length measurement of fish specimen
PSTL_CODE		Scientific name (genus and species) of fish specimens
SAMPLE_ID		Sample ID
SITE_ID		"NCCA Site ID for the study and year sampled. Preferred form is NCAnn_MM-xxxxx  where  nn is survey cycle year (05, 10, 15 , 20, etc), MM is two letter state code, and xxxxx is between 10001 and 99999.  No missing values allowed. A UNIQUE_ID may have different SITE_IDs for different survey cycles but the UNIQUE_ID will always be the same to allow tracking of change over time."
SPECIES		Scientific name (genus and species) of fish specimens
SPECIMEN_ID		"Specific number assigned to each fish specimen. Convention is ""XXXXXX.1, XXXXXX.2, …"" where ""XXXXXX"" is the six digit SAMPLE_ID and numbers in the decimal places represent the individual specimens within a composite sample."
STUDY		Name of the study.  A unique site may belong to multiple studies. No missing values allowed. 
WT_UNIT		Unit of mass measurement for specimen
LAT_DD83		Design latitude in decimal degrees from sample frame. No missing values allowed.
LON_DD83		Design longitude in decimal degrees from sample frame. No missing values allowed.
UID		Unique identifier for the site/visit. A site with two visits in a survey cycle will have one UID for the first visit and one UID for each subsequent visit.
VISIT_NO		Sequential visit an index period; Visit: 1 or 2
