Region 10 Clean Water Act Section 106 Tribal Program Funding


2019 Funding Announcement

Draft work plans and budgets for fiscal year 2019 Section 106 funding were due January 19, 2018.

Awards will be made by September 28, 2018.

About Section 106 Funding

Section 106 of the Clean Water Act provides funding to support water pollution control programs. Section 518 of the 1987 amendments provides a mechanism for tribal governments to access Clean Water Act funds by the "treatment in a manner similar to a state" eligibility process.

Currently 39 tribes within EPA's Region 10 (serving Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington) are eligible to receive Section 106 funding.
